Malty, punchy and packed with old-school hop character — this Columbus Red IPA blends rich amber ale malts with bold earthy, resinous hop aroma for a seriously satisfying pint. Expect layers of caramel malt flavour balanced by pungent peppery notes, subtle citrus and that classic West Coast-style bitterness.
The included Columbus dry hops bring plenty of piney bite straight out of the packet, while still leaving room to push things further with your own hop additions and recipe tweaks.

Hops (included): 30g Columbus dry hop pellets
Bitterness: Medium, 27 IBU
Colour: Ruby-Red, 27 EBC
Approx. ABV: 4.3% – 8.1% (depending on brew volume and style)
Ingredients: Barley malt extract, hop extracts, Columbus dry hop pellets, dried yeast
Note: Additional fermentables may be required, see Brew Tip below.
Brew Tip:
Fermentables: For a rich, full-bodied Red IPA, add 1.5kg Brick Road Light Malt Extract plus 1kg Brick Road Light Dry Malt Extract (or 1kg Dextrose Brewing Sugar).
Dry Hops: To push the piney, earthy hop aroma even further, add up to 200g of classic American “C” hops like Cascade, Centennial or Columbus.
Alternate Yeasts: US-05, BRY-97, WLP001 California Ale, 1056 American Ale or other clean, highly attenuating American ale yeasts.
Big malt, bold hops and plenty of attitude in every pint.

If your item is Oversized or More Than 25kg you may be contacted for an additional freight charge to be calculated upon picking of order.

To ensure successful delivery make sure there is some one Present at the Delivery Address during business hours.
Delivery times are normally 1-2 days to the North Island and 2-5 days to the South island once dispatched. Rural delivery can take an extra day longer.
