Here is a simple, step-by-step guide to get your first indoor grow space ready.
Choosing Your Size and Location
Pick a quiet, temperature-stable space like a spare closet, spare bedroom corner, or a dry garage.
Start with a 2x2 or 3x3 foot tent because smaller spaces are much easier to control for heat and humidity than large ones.
Ensure you are close to a standard electrical outlet and have room to vent air.
Building the Frame and Canvas
Assemble the steel floor frame, snap in the vertical corner poles, and click the top ceiling frame securely into place.
Unzip the fabric tent cover completely so it lays open.
Slide the waterproof floor tray onto the bottom frame, then pull the fabric shell up and over the top frame.
Zip the canvas up slowly, making sure no fabric gets caught in the teeth.
Installing Ventilation and Airflow
Hang your carbon filter and inline exhaust fan near the top ceiling bars of the tent.
Run ducting from the fan out through one of the designated upper port holes to push stale hot air out of the room.
Open a bottom passive mesh vent flap slightly to allow fresh air to be sucked inward by the negative pressure.
Place a small clip-on oscillating fan inside the lower or middle area to keep air moving across your future plants.
Hanging Your LED Light
Attach adjustable rope ratchets to the top ceiling support bars.
Clip your full-spectrum LED light fixture to the ratchets and center it over the middle of the tent floor.
Keep the light higher up (about 60–70 cm above the floor) and dimmed down low while you test the environment to avoid damaging young plants.
Managing Cables and Safety
Keep all power strips, timers, and plug connections safely elevated or hung outside the tent.
Never let cords or electronic drivers rest directly on the tent floor where water spills can cause a short circuit.
Route all wires neatly through the small zippered cord ports and pull the drawstrings tightly shut to block light leaks.
Run your system empty for a full day and night to verify that your peak temperatures stay between 20°C and 29°C.
