Imperial Rice Pilsner - All Grain Recipe The Rice Pilsner, is light straw to golden colour and crystal clear. The Hops are very prevalent, usually with a spicy bitterness or a spicy floral flavour and aroma, notably one of the defining characteristics. Smooth and crisp with a clean malty palate with some good alcohol tones and a smooth body that helps the hops become more forward. Expected Brew Figures: (Based on 75% Mash Efficiency)OG: 1.073 FG: 1.013IBU: 36ABV: 7.5%Volume: 21L Ingredients:4.1kg Premium Pilsner Malt150g Acidulated malt2.3kg Flaked Rice/Rice450g Premium Pilsner Malt100g of US Magnum Hops Yeast Selection:2x M76 Bavarian Lager Yeast (Cold) Method:1a Cereal Mash. Add Rice (Not Flaked Rice) and the 450g of Premium Pilsner1b Raise temp slowly to 68C and rest for 15mins1c Ramp up heat to a boil, boil for 30mins stirring occasionally.1. Mash Grains @ 50C with 17L of water in a Grainfather and Protein Rest for 20 mins2. Raise the temperature to 65C and Rest for 50 mins.(If using Flaked Rice skip the cereal mash step and simply nash everything together, beginning with the protein rest at step 1.)3. Raise the temperature to 76C and Rest for 10 mins4. Start Sparge5. Sparge with 13L of water as a single continuous sparge6. Boil for 90 mins7. At 90 mins add 10g of Magnum hops8. At 10 mins add 15g of Magnum hops9. At 5 mins add 30g of Magnum hops10. At 0 mins cool to 85C quickly and whirlpool 40g Magnum hops for 20mins11. Ferment between 10-15C for 10-14 days with 2 x yeast or 11a. Ferment warm at 18-22C for 5-8 Days with 2 x M54 yeasts12. Bottle or keg as usual Optional: If kegging, reduce temperature to 1C to lager for 2-3 weeks before drinking

Any Damaged or Missing Items from your order must be brought to our attention within 7 days of receiving your order.

If your item is Oversized or More Than 25kg you may be contacted for an additional freight charge to be calculated upon picking of order. 

We use Courier Post as our freight provider. Prices and providers are subject to change without prior notice.

To ensure successful delivery make sure there is some one Present at the Delivery Address during business hours.

Delivery times are normally 1-2 days to the North Island and 2-5 days to the South island once dispatched. Rural delivery can take an extra day longer.
